Are the Florida Keys calling you? The Florida Keys are a group of islands located at the southern tip of the Florida peninsula and the weather and the water there can't be beat. The islands run about 120 miles from the tip of the state between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.
Key West is the southernmost and popular destination and is famous for Duval Street's may bars and Mallory Square's nightly Sunset Celebration. It is also home to the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum and lots of other great destinations. Key West is only 90 miles from Cuba at the most southern point. More than 30% of the people who populate the Keys live in Key West.
If you are worried about hurricanes then Spring would be a great time visit as Hurricane Season doesn't start until the first of June and doesn't get active until August. You have plenty of time to get in a visit with no worry of hurricanes interrupting your off time.
There are many great facilities in the Florida Keys and of course the Miami/Dade area as well. Of course these facilities are always in need of experienced travel nurses to take up the slack during the ongoing nursing shortage.
