Licensed Vocation Nurses/Licensed Practical Nurses. or LVN/LPN’s, practice in all types of healthcare settings from hospitals, retail clinics, nursing homes, medical offices, ambulatory care centers, community health centers to schools. They also provide care in many other not-so-normal locations like homeless shelters, prisons, camps, sporting events and even tourist destinations.

Some of the responsibilities of the LVN/LPN may include: Performing physical exams and taking a patient’s medical history, provide education and counseling to the patient and family, wound care, administer medications, make critical decisions about necessary actions, coordinate with other team members in the facility, direct and supervise care and so much more.
