Seattle, where natural wonders meet a world-class urban center, with lots of wonderful attractions to see and of course, there are travel nurse assignments available. The nursing shortage is happening in Seattle, just as it is all across the country and now is the time to start your healthcare traveling career if you haven't already!
There are not many other cities in the US with spotless views of mountains and waterways right from the heart of downtown. But Seattle has both the natural wonders and world-class attractions. There are great art exhibits in the Seattle parks to see as well as Woodland Park Zoo, Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute, Seattle Art Museum, Olympic Sculpture Park, Seattle Asian Art Museum, Spectrum Dance Theater, Museum of History and Industry to name just a few. The Seattle Center, the location of the 1962 World's Fair, has become a premier destination for arts, entertainment and leisure activities. The Experience Music Project, the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum and the Space Needle are all a part of this complex. Downtown hosts the Seattle Art Museum, The Seattle Symphony and Pike Place Market. And, of course lots of mega shopping centers as well.Seattle has fun for all ages with the zoo, the Seattle Aquarium and the Pacific Science Center….so much to see and do.
Did you know that Starbucks opened its first store in Seattle in 1971? The store even retains its original look from the 70's because the Pike Place Market is a historic district with design guidelines.
One of the best parts of being a traveling healthcare professional is that you can stay in a place you choose for a longer time. You can explore all the many facets the area has to offer during your leisure time. Most assignments start at 13 weeks and sometimes you can extend them. With proper planning you can explore a lot in that time frame, if you so desire.
Seattle…. another of the great destinations that await the healthcare traveler.
