As a Florida native myself I'm kind of partial to The Sunshine State. There is so much diversity here in Florida, from beautiful rivers and beaches, swamps and bayous, and of course all the theme parks, Broadway plays and major concert events, major league sports and so much more I haven't even scratched the surface.
There are so many great medical facilities in Florida as well with many large cities just waiting for you to come and visit: Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa, Pensacola, Orlando, Daytona Beach…just to name a few. Healthcare traveler jobs and travel nurse jobs are plentiful in the beautiful sunshine state!
As a native though, I would advise planning your trip for fall, winter or spring. It's just way too hot here in the summer, if you want to do anything outdoors any way. But, of course there are always plenty of indoor activities to be found as well. Florida is a very large state stretching from Key West to Jacksonville and west all the way to Pensacola. You can really pick from a wide variety of landscapes and locations in The Sunshine State.
And, if you can't find enough great things to do, here are a few quirky roadside attractions I found when researching. I can honestly say after living here 50 years I have yet to see most of these myself.
