The Occupational Therapist assists the patient in meeting their goals and needs as well as providing quality care through assessment and interpretation of evaluations and test results. They will also determine occupational therapy treatment plans while collaborating with physicians or by prescription.
Assisting the patient to develop or regain mental and/or physical functioning or adjusting to disabilities by implementing programs involving manual arts and crafts, and practice in functional, prevocational, vocational and even homemaking skills. This can include daily living activities and preparing the patient to return to work and so much more.
